You will be required to pay Sixt an initial franchise fee ranging from € 20,000 to € 500,000 depending on the size and market volume of your country.
The Initial Franchise Fee is intended to cover the costs of granting franchise rights, assisting in the establishment of your franchise business, the initial training of your staff and other organizational costs, as for instance the establishment of service marks. It varies based on a number of factors, such as the territory you obtain the franchise for, the potential fleet size, population density, potential for growth, existence of Sixt central account customers in the area, size of the tourism industry in the area and the economic conditions of the market.
The Royalty Fee and Marketing Fee are percentages of the Vehicle Revenue. The Royalty Fee will be subject to an annual minimum.
Franchise Rights are given exclusively for a certain country. The Franchisee is developing the Franchise Business within the territory independently and at best efforts, whereas Sixt is not setting up own rental offices or granting any subfranchises within a Franchise country.
Franchisees should have an entrepreneurial spirit and foresee chances in their markets. As a franchisee in the Sixt network, you are an independent entrepreneur acting in your own name, making your decisions supported by your experience as well as ours. You should have a reasonable business plan and a well-conceived strategy to develop Sixt in your territory.
Franchise rights are initially granted for five years. The objective whereas is to establish long-term relationships and to develop Sixt within a country with one franchise partner. Therefore the franchise term can be renewed on base of the then-current Sixt franchise agreement.
Franchisees should have good credit history and be able to obtain fleet financing on their own. One option can be purchasing fleet, another option is to lease vehicles. Either way the franchisee is working independently and is responsible for supplying the fleet, while Sixt can support with its extensive manufacturer relations.
Yes. You are required to carry the state or provincial required minimum liability coverage on all vehicles in your rental fleet.
As a Sixt Rent a Car Franchisee, you can rent light trucks like SUVs and Pickups. We also have limousine and chauffeur services.
Franchisees will receive continual, sophisticated and professional support from Sixt. Sixt will provide field operations oversight and support, various training sessions from our Sixt Training Academy, quality management tools and consulting, as well as support for marketing and advertising – online via the internet and offline through traditional channels. In addition, Franchisees will have access on an on-going basis to the Sixt Web College and the Sixtbook Intranet.
